LVMH Prize finalist Cecilie Bahnsen sits at the intersection of couture and ready-to-wear, creating timeless luxury clothing. After gaining design experience under John Galliano, Anja Vang Krag, and Erdem to name a few, as well as a MA in Womeswear at the Royal College of Art in London, she founded her namesake label in 2015. The label draws on the minimalist aesthetic of her Danish heritage as well as celebrating the traditions of French fashion. Her designs are a showcase of unexpected combinations, providing a melting pot of “a more decadent universe with a more minimalist one”. Her recognisable techniques mix sculptural silhouettes with romantic volumes, with each piece handmade using unique fabrics and traditional techniques for a contemporary take on femininity.
