Kenneth Ize’s contemporary take on traditional craft has seen the Lagos-based designer quickly establish himself as a major voice in the African and global fashion landscape. After graduating from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Ize launched his eponymous brand in 2013, swiftly advancing to become an LVMH prize finalist in 2019. Informed by a love for local artisanship and tempered by his own cross cultural experiences, his signature handwoven cloth, which he cuts into classic silhouettes, elevates the simplest pieces into modern wardrobe essentials.
