Founded in 2012 by Niyi Okuboyejo, Post Imperial is a menswear brand that has placed the ancient Nigerian fabric making technique of Adire at the centre of its practice. Okuboyejo moved to the USA as a teenager, and his cross-cultural approach has led to using fabric made in Nigeria to create clothing in New York. Whether one is bold enough to wear the suiting or merely chooses to inject a splash of Yoruba culture via a tie or pocket square, the overall effect is one that looks to the future with a nod to the past.
