Christian Louboutin founded his eponymous brand in 1991, having worked with shoe design veterans Roger Vivier and Charles Jourdan. Committed to, in his own words ‘make a woman look sexy and beautiful’, his signature red soled shoes are as much a part of contemporary popular culture as they are a discerning person’s wardrobe. French born and of Egyptian descent, the designer is known for his audacious use of colour and embellishment both in his shoes and now expanded accessories line.  His collections remain the first port of call for unapologetic glamour.
